About the Place

Located in the Abbottabad District of northern Pakistan, Ayubia National Park is a protected montane forest area known for its lush pine and cedar trees, cool climate, and winding hiking trails that stretch through the western Himalayan foothills. In winter, the park transforms into a serene snowscape, with golden sunbeams filtering through tall conifers and patches of snow along high ridgelines. The air is crisp and quiet, and the forest offers soft transitions between light and shade. For artists, Ayubia’s layered terrain — with misty trees, rocky paths, and distant peaks — provides a rich study in natural structure and atmosphere. These references are ideal for exploring how light touches forest forms and how seasonal shifts affect depth, texture, and color.
